Gunfighter Essentials - Shotgun

Gunfighter Essentials is a two day concentration on the fundamentals of shotgun shooting and an introduction to tactical trauma medicine. The course content will allow participants to learn fundamental weapons handling skills, shotgun specific skills like double and quad loading, and ammo selection and patterning. Course content will progress at the pace of the participants with a mix of dry and live fire throughout the day. Safe firearms handling and familiarity with your shotgun are the only pre-requisites for attendance.
Course fees may include a small fee (~$10) paid to the host club on your behalf. Certain host venues may have additional daily insurance fees for non-members, and will be noted in the joining instructions prior to the course date.
Duration: 14 hours (2 days) - compare at $350+ for 7 hours with other training companies.

-Ammo “Swap Out” & “Down Loads”
-Immediate Actions & Stoppages

Cursory Kit Requirements:
-Pump or Semi-Auto shotgun (mag fed OK)
-Capable of shooting slugs. (Any removable chokes must be choke must be “Improved Cylinder” or larger.)
-Full size stock required, no cut offs or “shockwave” style “pirate grips”.
-Tube capacity of at least 5+ shells (any limiting rods to be removed)
-Receiver Mounted Shell Carrier/Side Saddle (optional)
-Shot Shell carrier, pouch, fanny, etc. to carry spare shells
-Two Point Sling (One Point OK, not ideal)
-Minimum ammo: 250x Target Load, 75x 00 Buckshot, 25x slug. (Factory ammo only, no reloads.)
-Eye/Hearing Protection
-Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK)
