Nightfighter Essentials
Night Fighter Essentials is a "Low-Light" night shooting fundamentals course. Focusing heavily on the usage of night vision, white light users are welcome and white lights are a required kit item for all shooters.
Due to recent firearms bans, course content will be adjusted to allow for pistol only, or unorthodox rifle platforms like rimfire or lever action.
Prerequisites: Due to the increased risk of shooting in low light and no light conditions, some form of formal “tactical” shooting training is required to attend this course. Night shooting is not a beginner or basic level skill, and requires a base level of training to ensure everyone’s safety.
Don’t currently own night vision? Cold Harbour Supply will be in attendance on March 29th and 30th, and is pleased to offer a limited number of Night Vision Rentals.

Course fees may include a small fee (~$10) paid to the host club on your behalf. Certain host venues may have additional daily insurance fees for non-members, and will be noted in the joining instructions prior to the course date.
Training Points:
-Fundamentals & daytime safety check
-Showcase of alternate rifle/carbine platforms (10/22, lever action, etc)
-Types of IR laser zero’s & zero confirmations on paper
-White light & LAM manipulations
-Pistol shooting with white light & NODs
-Passive aiming
-Single & multi-target engagements
-NODs to white light transitions
-Photonic Barrier
Cursory Kit Requirements:
-First & Second Line Kit (Belt & PC/Chest Rig)
-Modern handgun and holster (NO SERPA)
-Semi-Auto Carbine/Rifle, with a known zero’d optic (Recommended if you own a legal platform. No prohibited firearms)
-Weapon Mounted White Light(s)
-IR LAM (IR Laser & Illuminator, and/or Vampire IR light) (for rifle/carbine NODs shooters)
-Handheld flashlight and/or headlamp w/ red light
-IR/VIS Strobe (highly recommended)
-3+ Handgun Mags
-3+ Carbine/Rifle Mags
-Minimum 300 rounds each, rifle/handgun
-Eye/Hearing Protection
-Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) & CoTCCC Approved Tourniquet
If you are deficient in kit, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We may be able to provide loaner kit, or accommodate without.
If you do not own a handgun that's OK, carbine only shooters may still participate.
